Trained as an actress and director by the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, she has worked with great names in acting and has directed and created shows such as “Coragem Hoje, Abraços Amanhã” (nominated for the SPA Awards), among others. She is preparing to shoot her first feature film.

As a director, she has filmed documentaries, soap operas and several video clips, such as “Onde Estou Eu” by Manel Cruz, which won awards at several international festivals. With experience in theater, cinema and television, Joana is, par excellence, a storyteller, fitting in with the profile and objective of Blanche Filmes. Her work as an actor’s director, is another promising factor in the combination of the production house and the director.
